RUNCORN DEVELOPMENT MEET
A huge thank-you to everyone for coming to our meet on Sunday June 28! This was a very successful meet, we had around 400 nominations and nearly 90 swimmers. Profit from the day was great, made close to $1000 profit from nominations after purchasing the medals. $120 made from the Togtastic lady. We are still finalising the profits made from the gate, admissions, raffles and canteen. So overall a profitable and fun, yet windy day was had by all. A special mention to Lisa for organising Togtastic to come sell her swimwear of which she donated 10% of her earnings on the day. Also Lisa spoke with the swimwear shack and they donated 2 x $50 vouchers for our raffles, and gave us some advertising on their website and facebook site!
A huge congratulations to 2 of our swimmers breaking POOL RECORDS 0n the day:
Deneka Weir & Jackson Herman
A few messages from Tegan…
#1 – All swimmers in TARGET squad, and any swimmers that train in the MORNING are asked to purchase a drag suit. These are available at the aqua shop on old Cleveland Rd, Coorparoo. A good brand to recommend is a Finis one.
#2 – Tegan is undertaking in a 200km ride to conquer cancer. Please check out the website and give generously! You can donate online and all donations are to TEGAN RIDING. No donation too big or too small. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with some form of cancer, let’s make a change now.
